Hello Bass Fisherman,

You are officially entered into the tournament (rules below).

I've been bass fishing for quite some time now, especially since I have a pond in my backyard. I love to see what other people catch and love to share what I catch as well. It is extremely easy to share videos and pictures with everyone, however it is not that easy for people to get new updated pictures of fish caught. So between Hubpages and Facebook, Smell fishy wants you to go out and catch some largemouths on the dates given. As of right now this is just an idea, however as time progresses there may very well be prizes for the winners of the tournament.

I am sure the rules will change and things will be tweaked, but just remember this site will only be about having fun and sharing your own fishing videos from those particular dates!

Why the name Smell Fishy?

The name Smellfishy, or Smell Fishy is an obvious one. Not only do I want your hands smelling fishy because I want you to catch a lot of fish, but also having your hands smell fishy when you get home can be a problem with the wife at times. Sometimes they just draw up some wacky conclusions. But when she see those videos, she will have no choice but to apologize! Just kidding, but I do want everyone to be serious about the fish they catch and when they catch it. Obviously if your hands smell fishy, then obviously you are not lying.

June 13, 2011 Senko worm fair conditions

Senko Worm 5" Pumkin/Black/Green
Amazon Price: $5.99
List Price: $7.67

This bass was caught right underneath a tree that fell over. I casted it and let it sit for a little while(20 secs). Then just like that I had a bite, set the hook and reeled it in. This was in the afternoon. I really recommend these senko worms, they are heavy and pretty durable for a rubber worm. The bass will hold these things in their mouth for quite some time.

Uncle Mike June 13, 2011 Senko Worm Watermelon Magic

He caught this bad boy in the drop off with a senko worm. We also tried frogs and poppers, but those did not seem to work at all. This was at dusk.

June 13, 2011 Light Colored senko worm in Weeds.

I caught this one on in the very shallow, once again letting it sit for a while, and then slowly jerking my rod up every 5-45 seconds. The longer the better sometimes.

Rules and Guidelines

It is very simple for you to get your videos posted on this exact page. There will be plenty more pages as fishing tournaments will come and go.

  • This site is to get yourself some exposure in any way you see fit - You can talk about what lure you used, what were the conditions anything you want. Be informative, or be fast.
  • I am much more interested in videos(any length), be entertaining or be yourself, but just make sure the videos are to the point(little to no dead air)
  • Pictures are fine for now, but getting a video is much more engaging and fun to watch.
  • Upload your videos to your own YouTube Channel. If your videos on this site become engaging, it can drastically help your views on YouTube and can become another revenue stream for you.
  • Post a link to your video and pictures in the comments section below. From there I can take the video and add it to the top of this page.
  • For now when all of the videos are posted we will vote for the biggest fish and that will be the winner.
